Today was McKayla's big day. She has been counting down the days to get her cast off, and it finally came!!
It was a little bit stanky!!!
You can see there is a bump, I don't know if that is from this break or her last break, but the doctor said it healed perfectly.
She's a little sore, but she seems to be doing alright. She is still 6 weeks away from being completely healed, but her bone has fused together enough that a cast is no longer required. Just to be on the safe side though, she will not be wearing heely's for another 6 weeks.
Yesterday, Parker went to Lynchburg for a meeting. He texted me a picture, with the subject "I Love You!"
First Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA.
It's where we were married.
I love that guy so much!!

Trying to play catch up!!
OK I need to update with all the things I've missed. I'll start with St. Patrick's day.
For St. Patrick's Day, we made ice cream sandwich clovers. The recipe called for Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, but I'm the only one that likes that kind of ice cream so I got Vanilla bean and colored it green with food coloring.
The cookie part was a little salty, and it was much easier to eat after it had been in the freezer for 24 hours, unlike what the recipe said. I guess next year I'll have to make them a couple days before. Oh and I made one as a 4 leaf clover, but since I didn't have a cookie cutter, I had to cut them out free hand with a spoon, so the 3 leaf clovers just turned out better.
OK another thing I missed was the Shamrock Marathon. Parker ran the 1/2 marathon this time and his parents and Pat and Gene walked the entire marathon.
Parker, Mason and I left Williamsburg at 4:50 in the morning to drive to Virginia Beach. We found a parking space about a block from the starting line! We were really lucky. His race started at 7:00, so he took off while I got Mason ready.
After we watched all the 1/2 marathon runners run by, the Mills called and said they were just about there. They brought McKayla with them, so we met up with them and watched them start their 26.2 mile walk.
A few last minute preparations...
and waves..
and they're off!! Ok maybe one more wave.
It was a long cold day but Mason and McKayla were troopers. They did great! McKayla is used to it by now, she's been going to marathons since she was about 5, so she knows there is a lot of walking and waiting. But she does love the cheering.
This was about 2 miles from the finish line!
So we met up with Parker, he changed, we got some breakfast and waited about the half way mark for our marathon walkers to come by.
Since they were at the half way point we decided to go do some shopping while we waited for the big finish. It was that time before we knew it and we were back at the finish line waiting...and posing of course. (We definitely have to go back and get better pictures with that statue.)
HERE THEY COME!!!
THERE THEY GO!!!
FINISHED!!
A couple minutes later came Gene and Pat! Still smiling, thats a good sign.
FINISHED!!
A little sore, and tired, 7 hours later but very excited to be marathon finishers!
I love going to marathons, it's always so exciting!
This was a pretty long post so I'll finish my update tomorrow.
ciao

I have neglected the blog yet again. But this time I have a good reason! Our computer died, so look at my new toy!!
I'm in love!
Well thats all for now. I have a lot to say but I'm kind of tired. It's bedtime and McKayla has a friend over tonight so its going to be a long night. I'll post again tomorrow.
